Providence House continues to help our residents build valuable workforce skills. This week, we learn skills for professionalism and dependability. Residents are learning how to bring these traits into practice, and our staff will share how they’ve applied these lessons in their own lives, too. It’s all about building a supportive, encouraging environment where residents gain important skills to thrive in the workforce!

Topic: Professionalism and Dependability

Qualities to Demonstrate Professionalism

Be Dependable: Be productive and do the work you are given.
Show Integrity: Be honest and take responsibility for your work and actions.
Communicate Effectively: Actively listen and express yourself clearly to others.
Be Responsive: Respond quickly and fully to directions and feedback.
Keep your Composure: Remember to always stay calm and use a polite tone and body language.
Be Punctual: Arrive on time to work and after breaks. Leave on time when the workday is over.
Use Good Time Management: Be efficient and finish your work when you are expected to.
Follow Good Etiquette: Make sure your appearance, actions, and words are appropriate for the workplace and that you are following the rules.
