Kimberly Thomas

January 26, 2017 by Providence House Stories
5

Kimberly had lost everything, including a place to stay and was facing jail time. She had no job, and she and her children Ka’Lajea and Kentravious were sleeping in a car. She had nowhere else to turn, so she called Providence House.

While at Providence House, she has learned so much about how to be a better parent, how to balance responsibility and how to become a better person. She is now independent and confident.

Her case manager describes her as determined, despite obstacles that she has had to face.

Kimberly is currently working as a caregiver. She plans to complete her GED and go to college to become a LPN.
