Director of Client Services

Job Summary:

Providence House is seeking a Director of Client Services. The successful candidate will oversee and manage the support staff’s day-to-day operations, including donations, resident assistants, receptionist, and dietary. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, management skills, leadership experience, and problem-solving skills. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Host department meetings
  • Attend scheduled meetings
  • Prepare employee timesheets to submit for payroll processing
  • Organize work schedules, monitor attendance, approve time off
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
  • Manage department budget
  • Handle and address discipline of employees per Providence House policies
  • Assist in hiring new employees

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory and weekly purchase of food and supplies
  • Daily complete the data entry for food program tracking
  • Develop, implement, and monitor department processes
  • Train new and current employees
  • Conduct daily inspections of property to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with cooks to develop menus that are posted weekly

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of food handling, safety, and environmental guidelines
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Proficient time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree preferred, in lieu of a degree a minimum of five years of experience in food handling and management
  • ServSafe certification required

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Walking with or without an adaptive device
  • Reaching at or below shoulder level, or overhead
  • Pushing and pulling objects with hands, arms, feet, or legs
  • Bending, stooping, and twisting
  • Lifting and carrying items such as boxes, files, supplies, and donations
  • Climbing stairs or inclined surfaces
  • Repeating the same movement with the hands, wrist, and/or fingers
  • Clear vision at approximately 20 inches or less, and peripheral vision
  • Being able to speak clearly so listeners can understand
  • Being able to hear sounds and recognize the difference between them
