Child Development Center – Infant Teacher
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of our infants in the Child Development Center. The program used will be in accordance to the Frog Street curriculum designed for infants 8 weeks to 12 months. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the job with an ability to connect to the infants, parents and co-workers to create a relationship of trust. The teacher’s goal is to help cultivate learning in the classroom and help the infant prepare for moving to the next level in the educational process.
Job Summary:
We are in search of a professional and dedicated teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in the Infant classroom of the Child Development Center. The infants in this classroom will range in ages of 8 weeks to 12 months. The Child Development Center uses the Frog Street curriculum to create a nurturing and learning environment for the students.
Essential Duties:
– Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
– Provide individualized engagement to promote gross motor, fine motor and social emotional skills for each student.
– Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
– Conduct assessments to monitor student’s progression.
– Adjust teaching strategies according to individual student needs.
– Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support infant development.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
– In lieu of degree at least 1 years experience working with infant-aged children.
-CDA preferred, but willing to work with candidate to obtain.
– Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
