Donations & Maintenance Associate

The Donation & Maintenance Associate works closely with the donations team and is responsible for coordinating and organizing donated supplies in the warehouse and donations center. Additional responsibilities will include performing a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and technical tasks in the area of building repair, maintenance and custodial care on property.

The Donation & Maintenance Associate works directly with the Providence House donors, clients and colleagues, to create an environment in which everyone feels safe, secure, cared for, and supported.

 

Overall Essential Duties:

– Demonstrates excellent customer service skills to donors upon arrival- meet and greet ALL Providence House donors at their vehicles
– Assist donors with their donated items and help unload vehicles
– Completes donor receipts in a legible handwriting, as needed
– Assists in furnishing client apartments in a timely manner and as directed ( as needed)
– Assists in the pick-up of donated items (as needed)
– Maintains and keeps a record of task to be done and completed
– Inspects and identities equipment in need of repair
– Keeps building areas clean inside and outside at all times, including dumpster area, maintenance closets and alley
– Troubleshoots general issues to determine necessary repairs
– Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, examples may include, but is not all inclusive list, drywall, painting, door repairs and other building fixtures
– Maintains a proper and safe work environment
– Assist with all duties assigned by management
– Communicate daily with management

 

Requirements:

– A High School diploma or HiSet,
– An Associate’s degree is desired, but in lieu of degree at least 2 years’ work experience in building maintenance, construction or repairs will be accepted

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
