SHREVEPORT, LA – Providence House has led the charge to radically change the lives of homeless families in the Shreveport-Bossier area since 1988. In honor of its 30th birthday, Providence House is hosting a celebration, May 1, 2018, at Taziki’s at 5pm. This event will be held on Give for Good Day – a 24-hour annual giving challenge for local non-profits hosted by The Community Foundation. Guests will be invited to enjoy birthday cake and participate in this year’s online challenge by raising $30,000. Longtime supporter and sponsor, Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, will host the event. This is the first of many activities planned this year to commemorate the agency’s founding by Mary Anne Selber and Jean Sayres in 1988.
Give for Good will officially begin on Tuesday, May 1, but donors can start pre-scheduling their gifts April 17 – April 30.
